DANCER • CHOREOGRAPHER • MAINE ARTIST
Embodied Performance • Movement • Voice • Expression
I move through the world through embodiment, rhythm, and presence. My expression is rooted in dance, breath, intuitive and connective movement, and a deep relationship to nature, spirit, and sensation.
I believe we are spirit first, and that the body is a divine temple—holding story, memory, intelligence, and creative power.
Movement is one of the most direct ways we return to ourselves and to the remembrance that we are part of a greater whole.
My artistic approach is shaped by decades of lived experience, personal exploration, and communion with Love, Nature, and Source.
Dance isn’t just performance—
it’s how I live.

Turquoise Grasshopper Productions
Turquoise Grasshopper Productions is a vehicle for my performance, choreography, public speaking, and creative collaborations—creating experiences that invite connection, reflection, imagination, and transformation.
TGP is also my way of contributing to the creative life of my community: collaborating with artists, organizations, and people who are creating meaningful work and gathering people together through art and love-based intention.
"Whether alone in the woods, at the water's edge, or onstage,
dance remains one of the ways I listen, create, connect,
and offer something back to the world."
Dance has always been my lifeline—my way to survive, pray, express, and heal.
I was born in Kansas City, Missouri, a cradle of jazz and soul. My parents were artists and free dancers. My US-born father, a jazz musician and Latin dance instructor, and my British mother, a devoted Beatles fan and keeper of the ancient magic of the British Isles, filled our home with music, creativity, and movement.
From dancing to funk and disco as a teen to discovering the soulful power of bellydance in my 20s, my dance journey has been one of personal rebirth. Bellydance gave me a language to reclaim my body from trauma and feel proud of my strength and sensuality. It became the root of my style—natural, feminine, fierce, and fluid.
Over the decades, my relationship with dance has continued to evolve through performance, choreography, intuitive movement, nature, storytelling, and embodied exploration. I turn everyday movement into expressive dance, allowing strength, sensation, emotion, and imagination to shape what emerges.
Nature is an important part of that process. I often dance and choreograph outdoors, allowing landscape, weather, earth, water, sky, and the unseen world to influence what emerges.

Whether I'm creating for a stage, a gathering, a conference, or communing in a quiet place in nature, I approach dance as a living art form: something that can communicate what words alone cannot.
My Innate Relationship to Dance
Dance is not something I simply learned to do. It is one of the ways I have always known myself.
Rhythm, movement, sensation, gesture, and breath are part of how I listen, communicate, process experience, and make meaning. I don't experience dance as something that begins when music starts. It lives in how I inhabit space, respond to landscape, feel emotion, and connect with other people.
Movement brings me into presence. It gives form to what cannot always be spoken. It can hold joy, grief, sensuality, strength, mystery, and transformation without needing to explain them away.
This is why I am drawn to the places where dance meets nature, story, voice, everyday life, and human connection. I continue to discover dance as a living language—not something to master, but something to listen to.

Background
My work as a performer and choreographer draws from decades of dance, movement exploration, functional and corrective strength training, somatic awareness, and intuitive creative practice.
I turn everyday movement into expressive dance, allowing emotion, sensation, rhythm, and physicality to shape what emerges. Nature is an important part of my creative process; I often dance and choreograph outdoors, allowing landscape, weather, earth, and sky to influence the work.
My work has been featured at mental health events, women's wellness programs, creative performance venues, and community gatherings. As a choreographer, I draw from personal exploration and intuitive process to create work that can be intimate, playful, sensual, theatrical, provocative, or contemplative.
I am particularly interested in the space where dance meets storytelling—where movement can communicate what words cannot, and where performance creates a shared experience between artist and audience.
Dance isn't just performance—it's how I live.
