Performance is a vehicle for self-exploration, sharing a message, and inspiring others to open their hearts and consider new perspectives and realities. Art can be a catalyst for dialogue and positive change. It can serve as a doorway and a bridge to bring people together and contribute joy and the possibility for healing in these times.

Dance is one of the oldest forms of universal creative healing, expression, celebration, and sharing among human beings throughout the world.

The featured performance clip was a collaboration with percussionist, Grecia Garrett, at Las Rosas in the Wynwood Distrcit of Miami, FL. I learned so much from Grecia and her vast experience as a performer. I originally created this choreography for the statewide mental health HOPE Conference in Augusta, Maine. It explores the twists and turns I experienced in my own mental health recovery process.

"Healer, heal thyself.” These words have saved my life. With past lived experience of mental illness and abuse (now thriver), I'm trained to address trauma and work as a dance therapist, breath work teacher, holistic fitness trainer, and massage therapist. I created TURQUOISE GRASSHOPPER PRODUCTIONS as a vehicle for sharing messages of healing through my performances and collaborations.
