Core Rehabilitation



I specialize in the core and connecting with your belly and hips as a *Core Rehabilitation Specialist. I offer WEBINARS and PRIVATE SESSIONS-both online and local house calls. (Local house calls will resume when the quarantine/social distancing period ends.) (Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, CA area)
This service can include a customized combination of services: corrective exercise/breathwork, bellydance therapy, and massage therapy sessions for your individual needs and concerns to reclaim your core and possibly come back healthier, stronger, and more connected to your center than ever.
We connect to that powerful center which is so often overlooked in our culture unless it’s for an image or to please others. Core rehab can help women of all ages, whether you’re a mother or not.

As a mother, your child may be 2, 5-years-old or even 30-years-old. Or maybe you had a hysterectomy, tummy tuck, or some other abdominal surgery many years ago. If you never got the education and support to heal after birth and/or surgery, you can NOW, if you’re willing to do the work. It’s never too late to heal. 

My purpose and commitment is to address and offer the care and support you need and seek.

*Note: the pelvic floor is a part of the deep/inner core.

With c-section and other abdominal surgery recovery (ex. tummy tuck, hysterectomy, hip replacement), we build your toolkit for recovery with tools such as corrective exercise/breath work, scar tissue massage, guided meditation/visualization, and bellydance therapy. I work on the scar tissue/balancing the internal organs and teach self-massage for that area to reduce and eliminate scar numbness, pain, digestive issues, and frequently, the disconnection you may feel from your belly. 

C-section is birth first but it is also major surgery for which there is often no follow-up postpartum recovery education or services offered. 

The massage and specialized deep core strengthening exercises and meditation aids the reconnection of the muscles, tissues, and nerves and balancing of the internal organs that is necessary for this rehabilitation.

We also address diastasis recti (DR) or the split in the belly muscles, pelvic stiffness, poor digestion including constipation, bloating, and incontinence. You’ll learn about healthy lifestyle habits for core/belly health and which exercises to avoid, along with specialized exercises to “knit” your core back together, as nature intended.

Diastasis recti (separation of abdominal muscles aka "belly pooch") may be more common than you think. You are not alone! Surgery is not the only option available for healing this challenging core condition, even after many years. Get a basic understanding of this complex issue and your core, learn how to test yourself for DR and chart your progress.

We also address back and hip pain with core rehabilitation, often a symptom of both c-section, other abdominal surgeries, and DR. 

Women start to blossom when they can get in touch with and appreciate this area of their bodies instead of ignoring it and/or constantly judging it and feeling so much anxiety about the way they look. The core, belly, hips, spine, are the foundation of the body so being strong and healthy means that your posture and movement is free and strong and brings self-confidence and a sense of your own unique beauty.
